The Full Story

Why is it important?

With a combined interest in architectural arts, diplomacy, and psychology, we are bridging the gap between sensory experience and well-being. Architectural arts and finishes can significantly enhance the psychological well-being of individuals in work and home environments. By incorporating elements like natural light, color, texture, and artwork, a dull space can be transformed into a creative space that can reduce stress and improve overall family or employee satisfaction and health. Additionally, a well-designed space can promote collaboration and productivity, leading to better performance and job satisfaction. Ultimately, investing in architectural aesthetics can create a more positive and inspiring atmosphere for all.

Certain plasters can also provide acoustical augmentation as well as absorb moisture and kill mold spores before they begin to grow, providing a built-in pH-balancing system.

The process of choosing your finish doesn't begin and end with choosing a colour from a card and slapping it on like straight paint. It is a creative process that takes diligence, knowledge of the craft, and dedication. I come into each job aiming to achieve the goal of each individual client with all finishes being bespoke and custom in colour or process.

Lime Wash

Lime wash offers a variety of benefits for both interior and exterior applications. It's a natural, eco-friendly option that allows for breathability in walls, helping to moisture buildup. Additionally, lime wash provides a beautiful, matte finish that can enhance the aesthetic of any space while being easy to maintain. Its durability and ability to develop a unique patina over time make it a long-lasting choice for homeowners and designers alike.

Gold leafing and faux painting offer a stunning way to enhance the beauty of any space. Gold leafing adds a touch of luxury and elegance, making surfaces shimmer and stand out and done in a traditional manner can last decades or centuries.

Faux painting, on the other hand, allows for creative expression, mimicking the look of various materials and textures without the cost. Together, they can transform ordinary environments into extraordinary works of art.

Vision

When I began this company I wanted to create an alternative to what people traditionally see in architectural arts. I focus on hiring a diverse team of primarily women and men, LGBTQ/ allies, artists and those seeking to advance their existing or budding knowledge of this ancient art form. I want to inspire clients to use experimental and environmentally friendly alternatives to traditional building and art to create inspiration for anyone entering the space they're creating. As we expand, we will be seeking investors to help us create local sustainable products and materials bespoke to each location. There is an exciting future for architectural arts in sustainability and understanding where we can start locally is imperative. In the future we hope to offer traditional applications as well as environmentally sustainable alternatives to every project.

According to the United Nations Environmental Programme : " The buildings and construction sector is by far the largest emitter of greenhouse gases, accounting for a staggering 37% of global emissions. The production and use of materials such as cement, steel, and aluminum have a significant carbon footprint." So working towards true sustainability in every sector is imperative. This includes the impact in the individuals providing this art form and skill. We strive to pay all of our employees a livable wage that encourages individual commitment to each project.
